How to Register

Inter-Village Continuing Education is designed for adults eighteen years of age and older. However, there are some exceptions. High School students can sign up for the following classes: SAT Prep and Defensive Driving.  Chinese Dance and Rising Star classes are for children 2 ½  to 12 only. Please refer to the course listings for specifics.

For the purpose of registration, a person sixty years old and over is considered a senior citizen. A resident is someone who resides in one of the following School Districts: Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings, and Irvington. Use the key below to help determine the cost of your class and or trip.

Res = Resident
Res Sr = Resident Senior
Non-Res = Non-Resident
Non-Res Sr = Non-Resident Senior

To register by mail, download a Registration Form and follow the instructions.

A separate check is required for each class. Make check(s) payable to IVCE, and mail to: 500 Farm Road, Ardsley, NY 10502.

Courses with limited enrollment are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

You may also register in person or by appointment at Ardsley High School, 300 Farm Road, where our office is located.  Enrolling at class is another option, providing space is available. We suggest you call us at 693-6300 ext. 2224 to set up an appointment and to also be sure that a class is not yet filled.

Confirmations: You are officially enrolled and your name is placed on the class roster when we receive your registration form and payment. We do not send confirmations. We will contact you only if a class is canceled or there is a change in schedule.  If you are not contacted, your class meets as scheduled. If your check has not yet cleared, it does not mean you are not enrolled or that a class is canceled.

Cancellations: We reserve the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or other circumstances beyond our control.

Refunds: Full refunds are made when a class is canceled or filled. Refunds, less a $15 processing fee, are made for withdrawals if a student notifies our office no less than one week before the start of class.

Partial refunds will be considered for documented medical issues up to one week after the beginning of class. There are no refunds for single session classes.

If a student withdraws from a scheduled trip, a full refund minus a $15 processing fee will only be given if the student can be replaced with someone on a wait list.

All refund requests must be made by letter or email, with documentation, for full consideration.

Students assume the risk of all changes in their personal and business affairs, and for choosing appropriate course level. If you are not sure which course level is the right one for you, please call or email. We will be happy to assist you.

No discounts, credits, or make-ups are allowed for missed classes.

IVCE reserves the right to substitute a qualified instructor, alter a location or time, and cancel a course.

Please Note: We reserve the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment or other circumstances beyond our control. We do not assume any responsibility, either real or implied, for the damage to or loss of personal property or injury of any student on premises or off-site.
